Six LTCs (Landing Craft, Tanks or tank landing ships) were lost 50 miles off North Cornwall during WW2. They found that much of the wreck, which they say resembled a large amphibious assault ship, had collapsed but a structure visible was thought to be a ramp, while other construction details indicated it was a WW2 military craft. Discovered 100m below the surface, the shipwreck would have operated on both land and water during the war.ĭiscovered by the Gasperados dive team, a UK-based technical dive team, the wreck was identified at a depth of almost 100m while the team sought another shipwreck from their Newquay boat, Atlantic Diver, reports Divernet. Divers believe they have found a forgotten WW2 tank landing ship that was lost off the coast of Cornwall.
